Medical Doctors commissioned in the Armed Forces Medical Services will be granted the rank of Captain (or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force) at Level 10B of the Defence Pay Matrix. The compensation includes BP ₹ 61,300 + MSP ₹ 15,500 + HRA (based on city category: X, Y, Z) + NPA at current rates + Transport Allowance ₹ 3,600-7,200 (based on city category) + Dress Allowance ₹ 20,000 annually, and Dearness Allowance as per current rates.

✅ AFMS Medical Officer Eligibility Criteria 2025:

(1) The applicant must possess medical qualification included in the National Medical Commission Act 2019.
(2) The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI / NMC.
(3) Post graduate Degree/ Diploma holders recognized by State Medical Council/ MCI/ NBE/ NMC may also apply.
(4) Only those candidates who have completed completing their internship on or before 31st March 2025 can apply.

✅ AFMS Medical Officer Selection Process 2025:

✔️ Shortlisting: Based on NEET PG Entrance Examination Marks.

✔️ Interview: Eligible candidates will be invited for an interview by a Board of Officers in the month of June 2025 at the Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt to assess their suitability and merit for grant of Short Service Commission in the Armed Forces Medical Services.

✔️ Physical & Medical Standards: After qualifying in the interview, each candidate must undergo a Special Medical Examination Board (SMB) convened by DGAFMS to assess their medical fitness according to established standards.

✔️ Merit List: All candidates who pass the interview (scoring at least 50%) will undergo a medical examination immediately following the interview.
